This setup uses your Surface device’s built-in support for a type of VPN called PPTP to connect to FoxyProxy. To get your account details , please use the Customer Panel.
Set up a new VPN connection
Step 1
Connect to a network.
Step 2
Open the Search charm, enter “network” in the search box, and then tap or click “Settings“.
Step 3
Choose “Network and Sharing Center” from the search results.
Step 4
Tap or click “Set up a new connection or network“, and then tap or double-click “Connect to a workplace“.
Step 5
Tap or click “Use my Internet connection (VPN)“.
Step 6
Enter the VPN server name provided in the setups instructions you were sent (you can also get it in Customer Panel) into the Internet address field (for example, cutcrack.getfoxyproxy.org) and then tap or click “Create“.
Step 7
Tap or click your new VPN connection and then tap or click “Connect“.
Step 8
Enter your network user name and password and then tap or click “OK“.
To confirm it’s working, visit https://getfoxyproxy.org/geoip and ensure it says a different location and IP address than you expect.
Connect or disconnect from a VPN
Step 1
Open the Settings charm, and then tap or click the wireless or wired network icon.
Step 2
Under Connections, tap or click your VPN connection.
Step 3
Tap or click “Connect” or “Disconnect“.
